There are more than 200 alternating masters now available in the most diverse educational fields. One of the “locomotives” of school-work alternation during 1st and 2nd level masters is the IT sector; Few are available in strictly scientific and literary disciplines.


The student who wishes to access an alternating master must:

Every year, alternating masters, he has eight months of work in the company, during which he has a responsibility role.

The alternation levels Master1 (corresponding to the I degree plus a further year of study) and Master2 (2nd level degree) are long-term specific missions, during which the students enjoy considerable autonomy and at the same time are Fully integrated into the company, where they play a role of responsibility. In the third cycle, training is often replaced by the classic alternation with courses chosen by student, with a customized study program tailored to meet the needs of companies.

According to APEC (Association pour l’emploi des cadres), in 2010, 40% of young graduates with Master2 obtained through a training received a job offer from the company that received them (against 29% of plain trainees ).

In addition, apprenticeship strongly promotes access to executive status in the first job and increases the recruitment salary. On all these points (speed, quality of integration, and salary level), apprenticeship contracts related to alternating masters have proved more valid than those from classroom training contracts.
